Doug Eaton's "Programming the LEGO Micro Scout", a long-standing authoritative reference for the VLL protocol and the Micro Scout opcode generator. Cited by pbrick.info and adriansieber as a protocol source.

What it documents

• Defines the VLL frame (start / checksum / data / stop) and the VLL opcode table.
• Origin of the older "stop = 15" value (which the real brick ignores; rcxvll.nqh (pbrick) uses 10) — see VLL opcode table.

The site currently returns HTTP 500 (server-side error) on all paths — its TLS certificate is valid (the earlier "expired cert" diagnosis was wrong); content is presently reachable only via the Wayback Machine / search cache.
