Controlz
An Android app for driving a model from a phone or a gamepad, aimed at custom builds rather than at any one set. It sits in the same place as BrickController2: one app, several makes of hub, a layout you arrange yourself.
What it reaches
| Capability | State | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Drive Powered Up hubs | works, untested here | the maker's own description |
| Drive BuWizz 2.0 and 3.0 Pro | works, untested here | the listing names the two generations separately, not just the brand |
| A gamepad instead of the glass | works, untested here | the same two ways in this project offers |
| Anything optical: Micro Scout, RCX, Power Functions (IR) | out of reach | Bluetooth only; nothing in it emits light or infrared |
| Any platform but Android | unknown | only an Android listing was found |
Why it is here
It names the BuWizz generations separately: a 2.0 and a 3.0 Pro do not take the same commands, and an app that says only "BuWizz" is written against one of them without saying which. That distinction is the same one that made a Power Functions servo look dead on a BuWizz 2 until the power level was raised — see BuWizz.
