CyberMaster
8482 CyberMaster (1998) is a programmable Technic brick that talks to the PC over radio frequency (RF) at 27 MHz, via an RF tower on the PC's serial port — not infrared and not light. It is included here only to disambiguate it from RCX-style IR bricks; none of the optical or IR emitter techniques in this wiki apply to it. RF gives it longer range and no line-of-sight requirement compared with the IR RCX.
Why it's here
- It belongs to the same programmable-brick era and is programmable in NQC (which targets RCX, CyberMaster and Scout), but its link is radio, so none of the optical/IR emitter techniques in this wiki apply to its PC comms.
- Its sensor inputs can include light sensors (sensing), but there is no optical control/command channel.
