ROBOLAB

LEGO's educational programming environment (LEGO DACTA + Tufts University + National Instruments), built on LabVIEW. Programs are wired as graphical dataflow icons and downloaded over the IR tower.

• Targets the RCX and the Scout (and older Control Lab / Interface A hardware); later versions bridged toward the NXT.
• Layered difficulty: Pilot (pick-from-list, very simple) → Inventor (full icon dataflow with loops, variables, containers).
• The classroom counterpart to the consumer RIS software; both compile to the same RCX bytecode.
